I’ve been in the UK for the past week and what I have noticed most recently is that there are so many new and innovative retail concepts here. The US looks stodgy by comparison:

• Tesco kills Walmart in every way.
• Boots’ approach to health is much smarter than any US pharmacy retailer.
• Ladbrokes makes OTB look like a crackhouse.

He knows that you are not REALLY relying on him for the news. It’s great, he assumes you know the news already because his jokes are funnier when you know the truth that is being lampooned. No other TV show pays dividends for studying beforehand.
